When we informed the server, they quickly removed the dish without any comment and returned moments later with the bill, omitting the Rigatoni with carbonara from our total. While I appreciated not being charged for it, my son was left without anything to eat. The Parpadelle sheets were all stuck together, and the Mare sauce was overloaded with chili flakes—my lips are still tingling from the heat. It’s disheartening to see a restaurant that was once known for its excellent pasta unable to cook it properly anymore. To improve, they need to hire more staff during peak hours so that the waitstaff can take their time to engage with customers and address their concerns effectively. Additionally, having a proper chef and manager present would help ensure the quality of the dishes served.
This restaurant review highlights a disappointing experience with both the food and service. I would rate it 2 stars, purely because I left feeling fine and the decor was pleasant. We visited on a Saturday afternoon, and the empty restaurant should have been a warning sign. The food lacked flavor, with both the eggplant and chicken sauce, as well as the lasagna, being quite disappointing — bland, mushy pasta, and poorly presented. I would have preferred a frozen meal over what I was served. The fried calamari and zucchini appetizer was just average, although the bread was good. Unfortunately, the service was quite poor. Our server was friendly but seemed inexperienced; there were no drink refills, and they didn’t check in with us about the food or whether we needed anything.
The food was very enjoyable; I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo. However, the portion size didn't quite justify the price since the bottom of the dish wasn't even fully filled. I believe the portioning could use some improvement. Overall, I would rate the food a 4 out of 5.
The food there is SO GOOD. The pasta and sauces are just terrific. It's a bit pricey, but for the food it's worth it. Even though they were definitely understaffed for a friday, the food came out relatively quickly. Our faves are the veal parmesan, any thing with the funghi sauce, the mushroom ravioli and the alfredo sauce. Highly recommend.
Today was my anniversary and drove for an hour just to come here after a foul experience in another restaurant. Service and food is always so good and i really appreciate the blonde girl that’s so kind and that I always see here. This has been my to-go restaurant for over a year and stopped coming just because of how far it was from my new home but the drive was absolutely worth it: I’m glad I came and always grateful for the great service
