First I want to talk service, because these folks are always the friendliest and most helpful, and truly love the food they are serving up! I have had the opportunity to interact with a few staff as well as the owner, and each time is an absolute pleasure! I have sampled a few things over the years, but will say that the Shrimp Po'boy is hands down my favorite! If shrimp isn't your thing, don't worry...you can choose from 10 other proteins from alligator, roast beef and gravy, hot sausage and even vegan shrimp! If sandwiches don't do it for you, you can take those same proteins and make a plate out of it, or you can try a seafood boil and a fried or grilled platter. And if you still need more options you can grab a muffuletta or some wings! They also have a good variety of sides and appetizers including gator bites, fried green tomatoes, gumbo, boudin, meat pies, fries, dirty rice, chips and a few other things to round your meal out nicely! After you pig out on your main dish, you can circle back to dessert as they have you covered with either a Sno Ball or those perfect puffs of fried dough perfection known as beignets! Not really much to gripe about with this spot, but I will say that while the prices are fair for the food you get...I could stand for slightly larger portions. The food is packed with flavor and cooked fresh to order, so of course I would want more of it! Overall, solid spot that I have visited a few times and will be happy to continue visiting every time I pop into Marietta Square Market!
Marietta square market was fun with lots of options. I got a shrimp po boy which I really enjoy. Here are my various ratings of this place Po Boy. 3.5. The bread was nice. The shrimp was nice. The add ons were the usual. The sauce was good. Side. Got hush puppies. 2. The flavor was ok. They were undercooked. My friend got fried green tomatoes 2 they were undercooked 0. They have cheap little plastic fork and spoon. Needed a knife but they don't have. The cheap form couldn't cut the tomato. Only ate half of them 2 French fries. Ordinary. Not cooked so well Some of the problem with the cooking could have been that it took 30 minutes to get our order. We thing the tomatoes were done early and they put foil over the top and they got a little mushy. They also had a sign that said it might take longer than normal due to people not showing up for work I will go back to the market but I'll try a different restaurant.
I ordered a shrimp po boy that was skimpy on the shrimp and lacked flavor. First and last time here.
Ordered a soft shell crab poboy. the fried the whole crab put it on the sandwich. shell all. it was disgusting, felt like i was eating paper.
The temperature of the food was good, but the red beans and rice did not have any flavor.
