La Cantina - Maribor

So yummy, find very happy as I went on a sunday and most places are closed. had low expectations about it because all vegans felt that the pain-eating cheese usually does not melt properly, but it bleeded me away, cheese was melted and everything woooo. only negative is slow service, but it was a Sunday so busy with anything else closed. I expected more vegan options and felt like pasta, but was told it all contains eggs. Only only pizza is really vegan if you swap the mozzarella. All other pizzas contain either meat or other cheese or egg on top of Mozarella. Was great though. I don’t think they use Violife which was refreshing.

It was nice for a relaxed dinner w friends, l personally didn't like the taste of vegan cheese on the pizza but was the only one of the group. Otherwise the pizza was tasty. The staff was very open to custom create pizza, salads and pasta. Pricewise it's well within the average of this region.

Very nice vegan pizza. We also had a salad that was ok. the staff was very nice and knew about vegan options. 3 vegan pizzas on the menu, but you can customize them. Also a very nice location

This was one good vegan pizza, especially when you are on a ski trip in Mariborsko Pohorje, and the hotel really lacks vegan food. The best thing was that La Cantina was very close to our hotel, more precisely right at the entrance to the ski slope. But it was very crowded, because that is a small space at the ski resort, but that's why we took it to the hotel. They have another one in the center La Cantina CENTER They have three types of vegan pizza with vegan cheese on the menu, this one is with smoked tofu, vegan cheese, beans, artichokes, peppers, onions, some mix of spinach with garlic I think, and cherry tomatoes...I think it is called Afumicata Updated from previous review on 2023 04 20
