Had a good meal with two couples complete with wine or beer. The seafood was better than the comfort food offered.

Great little place in Margaree valley. Cozy cabins with electric heat with wood stove heat for ambiance. The food was great and service from all staff fantastic. Nightly entertainment with cape Breton musicians was a pure delight . Romantic setting with a calming influence. Great getaway from life's stresses . We will be back . Charles and Diane of Ontario

Dinner was outstanding with choices that I recognized from my Scottish mother's repertoire. Selection is limited but we still had a hard time not choosing one of everything. Service was attentive and the waitress was amenable to a short chat.Breakfast was very Scottish and the oatcakes were so good we complimented the chef and got the recipe. Also, the porridge bread French toast is a winner.

Although the dinner menu is excellent we often travel there for breakfast (advanced reservations recommended if you are not staying overnight.) Cold buffet breakfast with homemade porridge bread , oatcakes, fruit preserves , homemade granola etc. Hot dishes on request...omelets, porridge,traditional breakfast or "Eggs Hughie D" Selection of juices, yogurt etc.
