Marengo Cafe

This downtown Marengo restaurant is a fantastic choice for breakfast and lunch. They use fresh ingredients for their bacon and egg breakfasts, oatmeal, and other breakfast favorites. Their California cobb salad is beautifully colorful, with crisp lettuce and fresh avocado. Our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, ensuring our coffee cups were always full and our food was promptly delivered. The owners, with over 30 years of experience at this location, know how to provide excellent customer service. Prices are fair and portions are generous.

This is my fifth time visiting this restaurant for breakfast, and every meal has been fantastic. The eggs and waffles are delicious. Normally, I go to Schaumburg for a good breakfast, but this restaurant exceeded my expectations. The service from Wendy is excellent, and the food is wonderful. Everything was served hot and delicious, including the waffles, eggs, hash browns, and coffee. I am happy to have found this hidden gem close to home.

My family recently relocated to the area and we are excited to discover new dining spots. Despite having a very opinionated 16-month-old baby girl, the staff at this restaurant was exceptional and welcoming. The food was delicious and the atmosphere felt like being at home.

The food is delicious. The service is real quick and the people are nice and make you feel welcome. Excellent resturant for breakfast and lunch.
