I visited this place for lunch in August 2016. The Guardiola is a small restaurant close to a bagno , a beach service were you can rent chairs, parasols and small boats for a tour in the nearby area. It is full of locals and a few tourists and provides delish seafood recipes. The chefs are extremely talented in preparing seafood pastas, gnocchi and appetizers. We had a great time and the flavours were outstanding. We picked the followings: Antipasto di mare, polpo e patate, spaghetti con acciunga and gnocchetti di mare. Everything was great. Cons> remember that you might have to wait in line in August and that it is a smart idea to put your name down sooner than later around lunch time because it gets packed with locals. They will shout your name once your table is ready.
This is such a special place. The food menus is not too large but everything on it is cooked while you wait. Spaghetti or gnocchi with different sauces prepared fresh every day , fish antipasti. I almost don’t want to write too good a review incase too many of you go there. The staff are fun and the atmosphere pure beach holiday.
Informal environment, directly on the sea, a few tables for which booking is advisable at least days before, starters and first fresh fish that envy the Elban restaurants where I was, with the possibility to rent umbrellas and sunbed and that is how while you are in full relaxation on the beach or at sea, you feel called when your table is available: Magic service! elbana beer craft the exquisite marina. Besides one of the few places that follows the measures of containment of the diffusion of the sea is certainly not among the top of the island but all the context, staff included absolutely, makes it really worth it. And I'm not a teen age!
