This place turned out to be the highlight of the trip (food) and we tried all kinds of food, from Mediterranean restaurant to Jamaican food to Japanese among others. We ordered yellow cockfish with rice and beans and shrimp curry with rice and beans. The portion size was huge and the prices were very reasonable. They use lots of spices and so we cook our food in Nepal. So we felt like eating at home in a local restaurant. The underside was limited parking and the communication with the servers was also limited, as they hardly spoke English and I do not know Spanish. But I can live with it. The reviews are for the value we paid for the price we paid. I highly recommend this place if you are in this area.
My mother and I discovered this place a few years back when we were here in the marathon. This is our way when we're here. Breakfast, lunch and sometimes even dinner in a day lol. The prices are good and the portion sizes are great!! The Plantains are some of the best we ever tasted and we always order extra. Some of the best authentic food comes from small places like this. I wish we had more places like this home in NY!!
Amazing Cuban food in this hole in the wall restaurant. Cheapest and best food by orders. Fresh juices are fabulous watermelons and mango were met for our family.
Great tasting and authentic Cuban cuisine. If you are in marathon and like Cuban food, you have done yourself a service if you do not include La Nina restaurant in your trip. Even if you have to take it to go, because of the small size and possibility, they are not available seats, it is worth the effort.
We are visiting from Nashville area, and don't get to have Caribbean food to often, unless we cook it at home. The food, portion and price were all great! I recommend people stoping by, estaba bien rico todo. We got the sandwich cubano and tostones!!! We will probably stop again before leaving.
