Butterfly Café - Marathon

Food is amazing. Live in the marathon and was here twice. Look forward to coming back in soon.

What a lovely spot! We were in the Keys to celebrate my 50th birthday and wanted something a little more special than any old bar. Frankly, there doesn't seem to be too many options and then factor in that I need veg friendly and the list is even shorter. This place is very pretty, small, excellent service, and we enjoyed the meal. The drinks were great, I had a wonderful salad (their house special) and even though a basic tomato sauce pasta dish isn't what I would call a special entree, it was well prepared. I had dessert as well (luckily, I can deal with vegetarian when nothing vegan is available). Strict vegans would struggle here but for a vegetarian it was good. Not a spectacular meal, but the service, drinks, and ambiance made up for my less than exciting meal. My 3 companions, all meat eaters, really loved their meals. Definitely worth a stop.

Wow!! We just had our Anniversary dinner here. What a beautiful place. Our wait staff was wonderful, the food was amazing. The Cuban pork chop and the yellowtail snapper were to die for. Save room for dessert, and get the TDF (to die for). It really is that good. The only thing preventing me from giving the butterfly cafe a full 5 stars, was the price. Aside from that it was a true five star experience.

Eating was exquisite and the atmosphere was calm. the outer deck was the perfect setting for our meal.

We went for aromatic dinner and there was a large party with 3 babies and the were crying and screaming, we asked to be reseated outside on the porch and were told there were no tables available. We ate our dinner and there were three empty tables on the porch. Not very accommodating. We won’t go back, the dishes were over priced and they add an 18 gratuity to our bill. We usually tip 20 or more depending on the service
