We visited the restaurant specifically for baigan ki kaab, but unfortunately it was not available. Additionally, it was very busy during peak hours and the restaurant seemed to be understaffed, causing a significant delay in getting our food. By the time our meal arrived, we were extremely hungry. The food itself was average in taste - suitable for a quick, on-the-go option, but nothing particularly special.
This is probably my 3rd review for this restaurant and it keeps getting better. I had been here on my recent visit to India and Goa. I had tried out several restaurants in goa and i was not at all impressed till i ate here....The food was amazing and totally value for money. I highly recommend the chicken xacuti, kingfish fry, chilly chicken and the soup too. Highly highly recommended.
This Restaurant is situated on the 5th Floor of the Satyaheera Hotel in the centre of Mapusa. On arrival, take the lift with included operator to the restaurant Floor. If you wish Non A/C the seating area is just outside the lift. If A/C seating...area pass through the glass Restaurant door. The Restaurant has been refurbished in the last 12mths. The decor and ambience is lovely. The tables are well spaced and the staff will show you to your table. The restaurant has a good feeling about it. The interior is relaxing and comfortable. The staff are well trained in Silver Service and offer excellent table service. They are professional, polite, friendly and courteous. They will present you with the Drinks and Main menu. The service is quick and efficient. The Restaurant offers North Indian, Goan, Chinese, Continental and their speciality Seafood on the menu. The selection and choice is very good. The seafood section offers, Kingfish, Pomfret, Red Snapper, Tiger Prawns, Mussels, Mackeral, and many more. We enjoy Masala papad whilst ordering the main food but do enjoy, the fish fingers, Chicken Lollipop, crispy chicken, Veg Spring Rolls as starters. The main usually a fish course from the selection mentioned. The fish prices are open depending on the Rate of the Day. The prices are fractionally more than a lot of restaurants but you are paying for the service. The Restaurant is open 11:00am 11:00pm Daily. Parking is difficult in the daytime but in the evening there is a small Pay Car Parking area nearby.
I am a regular at Satyaheera and visit every time I am in Goa. Some of the waiters even know me by name. The seafood is excellent, but the vegetarian options are average. I highly recommend trying the pomfret cafreal and basa dishes. The prices have gone up since they renovated the restaurant last year, but it is still worth visiting.
