Sorrento's - Maple Park

The food was quite enjoyable, and the service was excellent. The highlight of the meal was definitely the grasshopper dish, known as the Green Frog.

I hadn't visited Sorrento's in about 10 years. When I finally went back, I ordered the Saturday night special, which was a filet with brown gravy. Unfortunately, everything tasted stale, and I couldn't even finish it. However, I have to commend the staff and bartender—they were excellent, deserving a full 5 stars. This experience was over a year ago, and while I'm unsure if I'll give them another chance, it's a possibility.

Each time I've visited, the soup has been minestrone, one of my least favorite options, alongside French onion, which is served every night. My son and I ordered the tortellini with meat sauce, but the sauce had no meat and the portion was quite small. The tortellini tasted like it came from a frozen bag, which was really disappointing—Chef Boyardee would be a better choice. My wife had prime rib, which is usually a good option, but her piece was mostly fatty and gristly. Our other son ordered fettuccine Alfredo, but it lacked flavor as well, though it did come in a larger portion. The complimentary bread consisted of just four small pieces that we ate with the soup, and we were never offered more. We could have asked for more, but we didn’t. The bill came to over $130 before tip for the four of us, including sodas and lemonades. We’ll be giving this place a break for another couple of years.

Local favorite and my personal favorite. I fought not to write that because you know what happens to your favorite local restaurant when everyone finds out about your personal favorite place... next time you walk in someone will be sitting in your spot! Lol! This place has it all. Best Prim Rib, Steaks and baked French onion soup anywhere.

Our first time there and it was wonderful! The servings are quite large and the food is delicious. Shannon, our server, was fantastic. She was attentive and so nice. She really made our experience. We came for an early dinner and it was easy to make a reservation. It was very quiet and all the other diners seemed to also be enjoying their meals. The decor is nice, I loved the fresh tablecloths!
