I had heard the ttla from the vegan mn facebook group. it was delicious! I also brought a small amount of the cousin salat and the detox salats. the cousin salad was really delicious! the Detox salad was somehow meh. we went around to see what other options they had and there were three items on the hot bar that were vegan and like at least 10 items on the hot and salatable. they also sell tons of vegan bakery articles including vegan doughnuts that I really want to try! I heard they had cakes and cookies, but I didn't see them. my sister and I want to go back! there is more to try! they had also listed a vegan slice of pizza, but none when we were there. we were also thrilled about the playground for my niece!
I was expecting more vegan options at this restaurant, especially considering they specialize in whole foods. I ordered the vegan calzone, but they had marked it incorrectly and almost gave me a non-vegan option. Thankfully, a worker noticed and helped me get the correct filling. The calzone was just okay - the crust was good but the filling seemed lacking. I found it odd that they used vegan mayo in their carrot salad. Overall, the experience was strange.
I agree with the other reviews stating that there are limited vegan options at this restaurant. In fact, I would say it offers the same amount, if not fewer, options than Target. While the bakery had a few vegan items, the hot bar and prepared food department were lacking. I have been to smaller Whole Foods stores that have more vegan choices than this place, which is disappointing.
I usually love Whole Foods, but this particular location was a letdown. They had very few vegan options compared to other locations I've visited.
