When you come into the restaurant, they immediately say there is a 30-minute wait, regardless of whether you have a reservation or not. They don't even check to see if there are available tables. Today, on October 16, 2022, I went in for brunch and left feeling hungry and extremely stressed out. Upon entering, I spoke with a rude young girl with long dark hair. If she didn't want to work, she should have stayed at home. We have tried to eat there at different times, but it has always been the same - a 30-minute wait or more, even when there are only a few people seated. I will never go back there again. I took pictures to show you how they are deceiving customers - the restaurant is practically empty, yet people are waiting outside like robots to be seated. The restaurant has two levels, and I took pictures to show how empty it was.
We had a great time at this restaurant that offers bottomless mimosas for a good price. The brunch can be enjoyed buffet style for $20 or you can order off the menu. The mimosas are only $11.99 and they leave the bottle on the table for refills. The buffet had a variety of options such as eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, French toast, and more. There was also an omelet bar, eggs Benedict bar, and a guy slicing prime rib. The food was decent for the price, but nothing extraordinary. We enjoyed two bottles of mimosas before feeling full. Our waitress was friendly but not very attentive, which was disappointing. Overall, it's a good choice for a budget-friendly brunch.
Oh my goodness, this meal was fantastic. I really tried to savor every bite and not take it for granted. The Granite City Meatloaf with Green Beans, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and Fried Onions in a Bourbon Onion Sauce on a Baguette was outstanding. And for dessert, we had an Ice Cream Caramel Cookie Skillet. The main dish was amazing - crispy onions, creamy potatoes, flavorful meatloaf, delicious sauce, and bread for soaking it all up. And the dessert with hot cookie and cold ice cream was a sticky situation I didn't mind at all. Granite City is a great choice for a semi-fine dining experience that doesn't break the bank but still makes you feel special.
Love their new breakfast menu and that it runs longer on the weekend. Big hooray for the espresso drinks (latte with breakfast!! . Great energy but 4/5 stars because even with reservations there is still a wait and the food took way too long tocome out (nearly 45 min . Food is excellent.
Love the new breakfast/ lunch menu. The avocado toast açaà bowl were delicious! Weâll be back
