We had a delightful intimate dinner with my wife. The service was outstanding—very attentive and genuinely committed to ensuring a wonderful experience. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and the Ribeye dinner, which was one of the best steaks I’ve ever tasted. Price per person: $50–$100. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5. Highly recommended dishes: Steak, Brussels Sprouts, and Smashed Fingerling Potatoes.

This was one of the best meals we've ever had in the Outer Banks, from the service to the food. A big thank you to Shirley for providing such a fantastic experience, and to the chef for the outstanding meal! The shrimp and grits appetizer was delicious (with a bit more spice than usual), the chicken and gnocchi were phenomenal, the burrata and beet salad was exquisite, the scallop and squid ink risotto was truly one of a kind, the Brussels sprouts were cooked to perfection, and the lemon pie with a saltine cracker crust was both unique and delectable. Price per person: $30–50. Food: 5. Service: 5. Atmosphere: 5.

Absolutely delicious food and excellent service! Our server, Lauren, was courteous and professional, truly enhancing our dining experience. I ordered a chicken dish accompanied by beans and pickled carrots, and it exceeded all my expectations. The portion sizes were just right, too. If you're looking for wholesome homemade food in a fantastic location, this is the place to be! Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 4.

Everything was excellent! They seated us at the bar (which we enjoy) in minutes, and were playful and engaging. The decor looks dated in the professional pictures, but is welcoming and lovely once there. Chris made a quite fine 1587 Old Fashion, humoring me in my picky preferences. The mahi and the scallops were especially delicious and skillfully prepared! They don't necessarily understand the irony of a Roanoke Island restaurant celebrating the Lost Colony serving a chicken dish from Gainesville GA (site of Brenau University, which promoted the forged Dare Stones), but it didn't detract a bit from a particularly fine dining experience.
