Red Rock Cafe - Mansfield

This is a restaurant that when the food is good it is the best I’ve ever had, but depending on the chef there are days when I get the food you could not even tell it’s from the same restaurant there is no consistency. I ordered the best pizza I ever had it was a meat lovers, and it was great, I ordered another one. It was greasy not the same quality lots of me. No complaints about that but a totally different pizza so the restaurant is a great restaurant except that it is very inconsistent and what it put out.

Appetizer sampler was awesome, everything was crispy and plenty of sauces. Cheesesteak grinder was 5 star with sautéed onions and mushrooms, plus the rolls are amazing nice and chewy

It is by UConn. Food was average. That blue drink was not great at all. Not in the area often but wouldn't go again. Long menus scare me for the overall quality.

We are in town visiting my son at UCONN and we decided to give Red Rock Cafe a go. I must say the place was pretty busy. The staff is extremely is extremely pleasant, everyone we came in contact with. However as soon as you walk in, I did not get the greatest impression of the restaurant itself, excluding staff, restaraunt itself didn’t give off clean vibes. But the boys wanted to try it so we continued on. The menu is very big and so much to choose from that you get a bit overwhelmed. I opted to have the chicken wings, they had 64+ flavors to choose from. I had the mango pineapple. It was good. The wings were juicy, tender, and you could taste the mango pineapple a little bit, and I’m content that they were not drowned in the sauce. My husband had a bacon burger without lettuce,tomato,onion and came out perfectly. The waffle fries are a bit greasy but no worries none were left at the end of the meal?. My son had the same bacon burger but with all the finishes and he enjoyed his as well. The sodas though … I had a ginger ale disgusting! My husband and son both ordered cokes and each one tasted differently so we sent one back and now it tasted ok the weirdest thing ever since it’s out of the same machine not sure if it’s from dirty cups or what ! We opted to skip dessert
