Friedrichsfelder Hof - Mannheim

This restaurant is a hidden gem, far away for the touristic areas in the region. Nonetheless the access is very easy. The food is delicious, portions are big, you can even choose a smaller portion. Veal steak was simply delicious. I will surely go back!

We visited with friends for lunch. Wonderful food and service! We like the fish, which is usually served different ways. This day it was served with mushrooms and cream sauce and noodles or with pan fried potatoes and a lovely mixed salad. The food is always fresh, plentiful and beautifully presented. Expectations of a feast are always met. Glad to recommend and will return.

But on the other hand there is some of noise that disturbe you while eating

Don't be put off by the surrounding neighborhood, which is run-down looking. The traditional dishes are delicious. Probably one of the best cordon bleu that I have ever had. The rib eye was a thick piece, a real steak. There were various other dishes to choose from, including fish, chicken and pasta. The wine selection is small, mostly from the region, inexpensive, but the waitress selected one for us that pleased all of us. The only disappointment was the white asparagus. It didn't have much taste. Overall, it was a nice dining experience.

From the genuine and friendly service through to the affordable and impeccable food, this place has it all. If you're visiting Mannheim it's a must.
