Gary's Pizza - Mankato

This is our favorite pizza spot that we visit weekly. Many of the staff know me by name, which adds a nice personal touch. However, what truly sets this place apart is the quality of the food. In Mankato, I haven't discovered a pizza I enjoy more than Gary's, especially considering the price. The crust is always incredibly fresh, and if you're there at the right moment, you might even see them bringing in freshly made dough to the kitchen. Occasionally, the wait might be longer than expected, but staffing challenges are common these days. I've been coming to Gary's for about a year and a half, and there's really no other place I’d rather go for hot, fresh pizza.

The pizza was decent, with a flavor that was nothing extraordinary, but the wings were excellent—good-sized and very tasty. You definitely get great value at Gary's, especially if you're hungry or need to feed a group of friends. It's been a year since my last visit, and I wanted to share an update: the pizza has significantly improved! The flavor was outstanding, and the portion sizes are still amazing. Be sure to try their house pizza; it’s delicious! Looks like I’ll be enjoying pizza for the next few days!

We ordered three pizzas, a loaf of garlic bread, and two pounds of buffalo wings for our party, and everyone at the table absolutely loved it! There were several compliments about the quality of the garlic bread. Some guests preferred the thin crust over the traditional, but everyone thought both were excellent. My favorite was the BBQ chicken pizza, which had the perfect amount of BBQ sauce and plenty of chicken. The bacon cheeseburger pizza had a wonderfully fresh taste, likely because of the generous amount of freshly diced tomatoes—so delicious! The wings came with classic buffalo sauce, and there was no shortage of it! The bone-in wings were full of flavor, and thankfully they were a normal size, not the bizarrely oversized ones you find at some places. We opted for carry-out, and the person at the counter was really friendly and engaging—not like a mindless cashier. How refreshing! Our order was ready on time and steaming hot. We will definitely be ordering from Gary's Pizza again, especially on Sundays when the competition (I'm looking at you, Pagliai's) is closed! How can you claim to be a "great" pizza place if you're shut down on the most important pizza day of the week? No worries, though—Gary's is open seven days a week!

This place offers sauerkraut as a topping, which automatically earns it 5 stars from me. The flavors are fantastic too!

This is the second-best taco pizza I've ever had, and I may be a bit of a picky old man!
