Taco John's - Manhattan

This restaurant offers fast Mexican food that is very similar to Taco Bell, but with the added option to dine in. The drive-thru service is also quicker here. It would be beneficial if they brought back their salsa bar to reduce the plastic waste from the packaged sauces and ketchup. The menu specials change regularly and feature new twists on traditional dishes. The regular tacos have more filling than those at Taco Bell. The presence of potato rounds in most dishes may take some getting used to. The breakfast options are also tasty, although they are only available on weekends. A new menu item, the Spicy Steak and Potato Griller, is flavorful but not very spicy. It resembles a smaller, square-shaped chimichanga. Overall, the food is enjoyable and worth a try.

I always enjoy dining at Taco John's. The staff provides excellent service and the prices for high-quality items are unbeatable.

I enjoy eating at Taco John's, but my last visit was disappointing as they completely messed up my order. My wife and I thought they may have mixed up our order with someone else's due to how badly it was wrong. Despite the incorrect order, the food was still good and reasonably priced (although we paid for 2 large orders of potatoes and never received them). They offer delicious Tex-Mex tacos, burritos, and their potatoes are a standout dish. The potatoes are crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. I sometimes specifically go to Taco John's just for the potatoes. I am giving them a 4-star rating instead of 5 because of their inconsistent order accuracy. This last experience wasn't the first time my order was messed up. If they improve their customer service, I would happily upgrade my rating to a 5-star. Overall, I still highly recommend Taco John's for fast, affordable, and tasty Tex-Mex food.

The reopening of Taco John's after the fire last year is a pleasant comeback to the Manhattan dining scene. The service and food quality have been consistently improving every week.

Chris and Jay provided excellent service, and because of them, I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
