Fresh Tasty - Mangonui

Cracking fish (Dori) and chips. The staff are friendly, helpful and no nonsense. They were also kind enough to bring my food to the pub next door when it was ready, where I washed it down with an ice cold pint, listening to Thin Lizzy, in the company of some friendly locals. Would definitely recommend and go again. There was some better than usual seating available inside and out. They were also open until 20.30 despite their opening times saying 20.00.

I really wanted to gate keep this place but we were served the best fish and chips we've had all year, love the tray our food was served on and a really nice quiet spot to get an affordable feed. We'll be back for sure

Great fish and Chips. Friendly staff. Chips are classic Mr Chips and taste great. Fish was very fresh with a nice crispy batter. Even better that you can eat it in the pub next door.

Originally came for hoki and after seeing the price for one piece, I assumed they were fresh. However they are frozen, so we opted for burgers. The burgers and chips were nice and there were a ton of patrons waiting for orders. I thought the pricing was definitely on the steep side.

Just good and simple fish and chips without any frills. The portions and prices are pretty standard to other shops. More generous than the other famous fish and chip shop across the street.
