La Carreta - Mandeville

Wow! Hola Frida really impressed me! This sweet passion fruit margarita was incredibly refreshing! The tinga (shredded chicken) flautas were flavorful and far from bland. I also tried the taco salad with steak, and the tender pieces of fajita steak were seasoned perfectly. Our server was delightful, attentive, and very polite! I highly recommend this place!

The best Cinco de Mayo party, incredible acoustic music, and the finest birria tacos in Mandeville, LA. La Carretas boasts the most amazing staff I've ever encountered at any restaurant. It’s my absolute favorite! I could rave about it forever.

The food was excellent! We visited on Cinco de Mayo, and everything was fresh.

We visited Carretas for some Margaritas, always sticking to the house version. Unfortunately, this time they tasted different. Normally they’re excellent, but we found out they were premixed, and they weren’t enjoyable at all. So, we decided to try the Organic Margaritas instead—and that made a significant difference! However, there's a downside: the Organic Margaritas are also premixed, which is a bit disappointing and may lead customers to opt for the more expensive fresh-made option. Despite this, we had a wonderful time on the patio, enjoying the lovely weather, and the waitstaff was very attentive. I suggest bringing back the house Margaritas but consider having someone else handle the mix; it could have a positive impact on your sales.
