Tavolata - Mandaue City

Walked to the top floor of Ayala mall and saw this restaurant. The Decore was clean and nice. The view overlooks the front of the mall and street. Food was ok. Nothing special about it. We had spaghetti and anchovies and lasagna. The calamari though, I always ask for extra crispy and this was perfect. The service was great. Never had to wait more then 30 seconds for anything we asked for and the restaurant was full at the time. I would come back, if I didn't want to try something else.

It’s usually good, but today I went for lunch and there was an absurd amount of raw garlic in the order. One bite made my eyes water, so started pulling out all the garlic to show the manager took up about half of the plate rim, stacked) he acknowledged it was a mistake, took the garlic away. Did nothing to fix and and charged me for it. Had to buy listerine to go back to work. Based on my coworkers reactions, it’s not effective. Lol. Guess it’s going downhill.

From the time they opened until present the quality has always been on point! Must try Italian when in Cebu! Sad they no longer have my favorite crab salad, it is one of the best they had!
