Vermilion has been going for a couple of years and now all the hoopla has died down I bet the owners havel yet to reap good return on their investment.

Venue is very close to Etihad so useful when going to a gig to grab dinner. The staff are very friendly and the food is brilliant, however, it is very expensive.

The restaurant is very nicely decorated but the food and service do not match to that experience. We were sat so close to other people on other tables it was like were dining with them. We attended pre concert and chose the concert menu. The appetisers came within minutes of ordering, there wasn't a lot for the price. The mains we had to wait over 45 minutes for which was not good and we kept being told it was on the way. The food when it came was average curry really. It had obviously been cooked in a huge batch as it was on the set menu so not sure why it took so long. The service was not great...we were never asked if the food was ok or if we wanted another drink. We only had Coke and this was rather expensive at £3 for a tiny bottle.... Overall i think the place is very nice but the food was average at best and the service poor. The set menu was £25 per person which was not value for what you actually got. We saw a 10% service charge on our bill which we asked to be removed. Tried it, but wouldn't go back again.
