The Mooring In Manchester

This restaurant is fantastic! We arrived with a group of five without a reservation, and the food was served incredibly quickly. The owner also stopped by to check on our experience. I highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting or living in Manchester by the Sea. It has definitely become our new favorite place!

The staff was inattentive and seemed completely uninterested. The pulled chicken tacos were bland and served at room temperature. However, the burger and fries were quite good, and the chicken Parmesan sandwich was large and flavorful. The menu was limited due to Covid, so hopefully, things will improve in the future.

What a charming little spot! I felt a bit sorry for them, having opened just a year before the pandemic, as they are a small establishment with a cozy bar and just a few tables. During the summer, it was lovely because the city designated some area for outdoor seating, but winter wasn’t too forgiving, so they had to close temporarily, though they're expected to reopen soon (they might already be back in business). The inviting atmosphere is ideal for enjoying cocktails at the bar while catching a game on TV. Their menu, although small, is carefully curated and focuses on delightful snacks perfect for catching up with friends. That said, their main dishes are definitely worth a try too. They frequently update the menu, but their classic Mooring Burger is always available. The oysters are consistently fresh and pair perfectly with a good local beer. I can’t wait for the warmer weather so I can enjoy the outdoor seating and some people-watching!

The vibe doesn't really go with the name. Bartender didn't know what a penicillin was. Dan Dan noodles were good, siracha makes it better. Clean and cozy.

Easily one of the best dining experiences ever had. From outstanding atmosphere, attentive staff to stellar food this place hits it out of the park. It's hard to pick a favorite out of all the food we tried, but honestly the french dip sandwich is easily one of the best around. The pizza doesn't disappoint either! We will be back for sure and can't wait to try some more of the menu!
