The Hitching Post - Manchester

They used to have good pizza, but now they have changed almost everything about it and it sucks. I'd rather pop a frozen one in the oven or on the grill than wait for what they serve now. Chicken is good as are their burgers, and fish on Fridays, but stay away from the pizza. Go to Center House for that.

Do not go here, except for Friday nights!!!! Call ahead for reservations on Friday night. Avoid the bar altogether- the service is horrible unless you are a friend or relative of the bartenders! The last time we were in on a Thursday- she spent more time on her phone then she did attending to customers. The bartenders are borderline rude and seem to have no desire to interact with customers.

I met a friend here for friday fish fry. I ordered the perch plate. Let me say I love all type of perch. As I know everyone has its own way of preparing. but what I got was all overcooked batter with just the thinnest strip of fish. i couldn't eat it. The bartender never asked how it was. I'm guessing she already knew. i was more than disappointed that they served this plate. The place is also pretty old and run down. I heard the pizza here is really good. But i think I won't be back. I wish I would have taken a photo to share. Owner I employ you to get a good chef in the kitchen or stop making fish. terrible

The fish and chicken is awesome but the wait here is always horrendous. Oh and no decent Verizon phone service really blows too. Open Wi-Fi would be nice...

New owner Darren is a very nice guy. My buddies and I were in town for the weekend for deer hunting and wanted to grab a quick lunch. Darren greeted us immediately and offers drinks and menus. The Monday lunch special was BOGO burgers which were very good. Generous portions of fries and a great atmosphere. Darren has big plans for the Hitching Post and we all plan to swing by the next time we are in town. Note: this is small town Wisconsin and not 5 star dining but for the location it's great.
