Przekaż informację zwrotnąA friend and I went out for an early dinner last week in Robertos. I have been eating there for many years and have always enjoyed it.The chips and salsa were delicious. I had a huge shrimp burrito which was filled with shrimp, rice and cheese. No beans per my request. It was big enough to enjoy again for lunch the next day.My friend had a chicken enchilada and a chicken taco. Also quite tasty with a side of rice and beans.It was quite noisy and hard to have a quiet conversation but I guess we expected that. Above all we really enjoyed our dinner and the cost was reasonable. Service was quite good as well.
Good deal for the amount of food. This place had a constant line of people. Chips and salsa were delicious. We go chimichanga burrito, carne asada burrito, chicken enchiladas combo meal, and the chicken salad. Chimichanga was everyone's favorite. Huge portions but very salty food. My husband did not like the sauce of the carne asada. The chicken enchilada was big, but too much of the pre-seasoned shredded chicken stuffed inside. Rice and beans were delicious. We all came home with left overs. They warned us they were short staffed, so there was primarily only seating upstairs and we waited about 15 minutes. Hostess was very pleasant. Not sure if we'd come back, but it was recommended to us and the value for the amount was great.
Excellent Mexican food in the heart of the mountain!This place was recommended to us by a random stranger we met while warming around the fire pit in the village. About 2 nights later we decided to check it out.We were pleasantly surprised and impressed with the quality of every dish we tried. But woefully unprepared for the quantity of the bounty that was set before us.What we ordered: 1 cup of albondigas soup, 1 cup of pollo y arroz, 2 flauta plate with 1 beef, 1 chicken, all rice, no beans and no guacamole or sour cream, and an a la carte shrimp taco.First and most importantly: everything came precisely as requested.The soups were amazing. You can taste the quality in the broth and I easily could have eaten these as a meal unto itself. They were both so delicious. Both my wife and I said “wow” upon the first drop of soup hitting our tongues.Then the main course arrived. And we realized we had made a grave mistake. A delicious, yet grave mistake. And we don’t regret it for one second.The flauta were huge. I was expecting something small, like a taquito size, that’s the size of flauta I’m familiar with. These flautas were each about the size of half of a burrito. In the picture I included a full size knife for scale.I cut them in half and we each had half of each flauta. My wife had the shrimp taco to herself.So once we got past the size, we got to the taste. Just perfect. The meat was flavorful just by itself. Mixed with the rest of everything was just great. I cannot recommend this enough. My wife also greatly enjoyed her taco, but due to the quantity of food, ended up just eating the filling of the taco and leaving the tortilla behind, just too much food.The rice was also very flavorful just by itself. I could probably just enjoy the rice if I had nothing else, and for me, that’s saying a LOT, I usually find rice to be somewhat bland and just have it to fill out the plate, this definitely complemented the dish.The salsa with the chips was excellent, and a nice medium heat. The chips was literally the only thing I would improve, and that is a very minor improvement to make, they needed more salt, that’s it. Just a touch more salt.If you want Mexican, take the drive to Roberto’s cafe. You will NOT be disappointed.
We ordered take away a fajitas dinner and Caesar salad. My birthday dinner and I was honestly disappointed with the food because it wasn’t fresh and didn’t taste fresh. Most of the lettuce in the Caesar salad was brown and the guacamole was also turning brown. If I personally was serving food I wouldn’t serve anything that was going off like that. Rotting veggies belong in compost and if you don’t have fresh product don’t serve it to customers. The meat was not very flavorful, the rice was pretty soggy. These issues just made the meal unenjoyable. I was hungry and I don’t feel satisfied. When you open up your food and it looks rotting it just makes your stomach feel gross. It wasn’t cheap either at around $50. I just expect to be served fresh food and have high standards for quality Mexican food
This spot F*ck$ hard! I grew up on the Mexicali boarder and expect less from Mexican restaurants the farther from the boarder I get but this meal was delicious.I got a combo plate so I could try a few things. The rice and frijoles de La olla taste just like home. So BOMB! The tamale wasn't my favorite but it's only because I'm not used to eating them with sauce so it was unexpected. The tacos dorados are absolutely perfect!Oh, and the salsa is AMAZING! Perfectly spicy...not that tomato sauce ****. I will hit this spot next ski season!
