Stateside - Maltkiln Lane

Really awesome experience at Stateside. We had a group of ten for a birthday party and they were so wonderful to us. Brian was our server and he was super patient and accommodating of our large group. He helped make sure we ordered enough of each item so everyone at the table would have a taste. He regularly checked in to make sure we were happy. The food was absolutely exquisite (our group shared just about everything on the menu). Will definitely come back!

A new experience of food that is very well presented.

Excellent food. Our highlights were the chili cumin pork ribs, the duck fresh roll, the galangal mule beverage, and the chocolate cream torte dessert. Yeah, that means all of it was a highlight.

I had a complicated experience at Stateside. And while I normally don't write reviews unless the experience was sublime, this one felt worth mentioning. I had really been looking forward to dining at Stateside for a solo dinner while in town for a work conference, the restaurant came highly recommended and the menu and ambience seemed right up my alley, and they were. However: I am a sober addict in recovery, and as such, did not order wine or a cocktail, opting instead for a Diet Coke. When my server realized I wouldn't be drinking his face noticeably fell and his bonhomie faded for the remainder of my time in the restaurant, whether or not he meant for to show his cards. I can count on one hand the number of times I have had a server show their annoyance at my not pumping up the bill with a few drinks on less than one hand. And to have that happen at a restaurant I was so excited to enjoy was really tough.

The service was great, not to say perfect ! Food was delicious and tried many different plates as suggested by the waiter and the price very reasonable. I'll return and recommend to my friends.
