Piroshky Baking Company - Maltkiln Lane

I had never tried Piroshky or even heard of Piroshky until through an Event I met the owner of Piroshky Piroshky. With that we tried a number of items from the menu including some sweets for dessert. All the food was delicious, warm and fresh. I will definitely go back.

I really liked this place but I just felt overwhelmed by the food. I had the smoked salmon and chocolate cream hazelnut roll: Smoked Salmon The smoked salmon pate was actually good! I just felt like I couldn't finished the full thing because the cream cheese and salmon were so overwhelming. Usually, I don't mind having a surplus of filling in pastries but maybe there is such thing as too much good stuff. Chocolate Cream Hazelnut Roll same thing here: the first 3 bites were amazing and then I quickly became overwhelmed by the filling. The chocolate cream hazelnut to roll ratio is a bit off. Also, this is not hazelnut like Nutella; it is ACTUAL hazelnut. Keep that in mind if you're picturing something along the lines of a chocolate filled croissant this is not that. Overall, it was a good place! Just be mindful of the filling or grab someone to share it with because it's quiet filling.
