My previous review was flagged as being offensive. Apparently, pointing out that it COST $95 FOR TWO PEOPLE FOR DECENT TEX MEX AND A DRINK is offensive to the management. $95 FOR TEX MEX is offensive.
Love this place! Food is Excellent and the atmosphere is casual, fun and clean. Great for drinks with a friend or dinner with the fam. Yummy horchata.Vegetarian options: Beans, cheese, fried cauliflower and/or tater tots can be subbed in for proteins on the menu.
We ordered a few burritos which were great. High quality chicken, and the cauliflower burrito was flavorful. They had a nice fresh house made green sauce we will be going back for. On top of that they were very nice! One more thing, at first we thought we were paying the $20 per burrito that we had previously. When we got there they mentioned they lowered their prices! Make sure to call in your order as the online ordering system doesn 't reflect the lower prices.
Yikes. Ordering online was fine. Unfortunately the experience is all downhill from there. I added in a special request for my carne asada taco plate, and it was either not noticed or totally ignored. Pretty simple order: flour tortillas, carne asada, and no toppings or salsa. I just wanted the meat and tortilla. Definitely got tons of toppings on some corn tortilla tacos. Awesome. It was a busy Friday night, so no points docked for wait time. Major points docked, however, for the cold food we were served. Ours was a to-go order and we literally watched the kitchen pack our meal, yet our beans were not just oh they cooled on on 3 minute drive home. They were just straight up cold. After excavating my meat from underneath the plentiful onions and cilantro, my carne asada was too, very cold. Love spending $70 on food and then having to come home to warm it up... We also ordered the enchiladas (my partner said Meh. This tastes like white people Mexican food and the super queso which tasted like melted American cheese. Overall, not a great experience. Would not recommend. Really the decor should have tipped me off. I was just so fooled by the framed photo of Chuy 's Tex-Mex. *sigh*
