AmbianceCasual, not too loud or quietFood I ordered the spicy pork and green pepper (4 5), my friends ordered the eggplant dish (4 5) and spicy popcorn chicken (2 5). My friend who ordered the popcorn chicken was not entirely happy with her order and gave feedback to the waiter, at which the manager came by and explained to her it 's supposed to be all bone cartilege. He mentioned that it should say grizzle in the menu but she was like maybe I made a mistake. I looked at the online menu again and it said Spicy Popcorn Chicken. Manager did not offer to refund or apologize. In this instance, if they had accurately titled the dish as Spicy Chicken Grizzle, it would have been accurate per the manager 's words. Ethically and technically speaking, my friend was in the right and I did think the manager should have at least apologized (and perhaps if he was more attentive to the situation, he would have given a partial refund because the menu was not accurate). As a customer, if I am ordering off a menu, I do and will be expecting to order what it looks like on the menu online and not receive anything that is outside of it. To be fair, her dish was 75% cartilage. ServiceFriendly and attentive. One dinger is that I didn 't like how one of them placed the stacked plates, chopsticks, and cups without individually setting them down in front of the seat. There was an implicit expectation that I would do it as a customer. It would have been nice if they did it, otherwise why am I eating out?
I have been meaning to check out this place for awhile since opening and finally got to check it out. Service was great and the venue was clean (and quite big). Once you sit down, you have to scan the QR code to view the menu and order online. Spicy Popcorn shrimp was excellent. It definitely had some kick so if you can't handle the spice, don't order it. But if you do like spicy food, this will be right up your alley. Tantan Noodle was just okay for me. It was quite sweet and I was expecting more of the peanut sauce flavor. Prices weren't cheap but portions were generous. Definitely worth to to come in a bigger group and share multiple dishes.
Def have a master che(i)f in the back. They have a phone ordering system, an audible ring happens in the kitchen when you order, rice and 3 dishes came out in 5 minutes piping hot. Staff was on light on their feet. Food was excellent. Cumin lamb, pork kidney, eggplant. Even packed and bagged the leftovers for
Easily one of the best restaurants in The CID. The lamb skewers were the highlight of the meal. The puff rice pale ale was delicious. I can’t wait to go back.
Sooooo good! Got the spicey crispy fish, wonton in chili oil and the shrimp w egg. Superb Szechuan cuisine. There are so many more things on the menu that I want to try!
