They offer various European Veggie brands that may not be found in other shops in Malmö or even Skåne, in addition to the growing selection of Swedish Veggie brands. Over the past two years, there have been consistently new products to try in the Veggie department, with frequent good deals to be found. While I still miss the dedicated veggie food business Astrid och Aporna in Malmö, for a conventional food business, this place is hard to beat for vegans (at the time of writing.) A positive aspect of being a conventional establishment is that even carnivores/flexitarians who may not normally seek out vegan options could discover some new favorites in the large veggie selection offered here.
I have never been to a restaurant like this before. They had a vast selection of items including mozzarella, marshmallows, cashew cheese, and more. It was even better than a good restaurant in Stockholm. The store was well organized.
After Astrid and Aporna closed down, the ICA Supermarket chain opened a large section dedicated to vegetarian and vegan products at this specific location, ICA Supermarket Söder. Not all of their establishments have this feature, only this one. They offer great weekly deals as well. While vegan products can be found in other supermarkets, the variety and deals at this location are unmatched. It has become a popular shopping destination for vegans in Malmö.
If you are searching for a particular vegan item, chances are you will find it at this restaurant. I come here to purchase sausages, ice creams, and chocolates that I haven't been able to find elsewhere.
This ICA location in town offers the best selection of vegan options. You will definitely find everything you need here.
