Jone Hing Chinese - Malīhābād

Jone Hing the one of two Chinese Restaurants believed to serve authentic Chinese cuisine. Situated at the heart of Lucknow Hazratganj) with a time locked retro decor. The joint require a serious uplift. Cutlery and serving bowls are not upto the mark at all reference to the price bracket and locality. No the taste is not authentic Chinese. Rather it has its own flavour. I tried the House speciality Chowmin and Dry boneless chilly chicken. Noodles were nothing special and comparable to street chowmein of Kolkata. Chilly Chicken was spicy with a slight different flavour I liked) but too much oily. The most challenging part was to take out chowmein from the bowl. So a mediocre experience . By the way they don't accept Credit/ Debit cards. Strictly CASH ONLY.

Jone Hing serves authentic chinese food. Most of the dishes they serve are either made up of chicken or some other meat. Few options available for vegetarian. Being a vegetarian we had few options. We first ordered manchow soup and mushroom soup. Manchow soup :-4/5 Mushroom soup:-5/5 In main course we ordered paneer chowmein, vegetable manchurian and mushroom fried rice. A good place if you want to grab some Chinese dishes. they also get pork here, which is quite fascinating as it is very hard to find it in lucknow. the taste can be better, but the amount is pretty good. also the service is good and the personal is well trained and would help them if they need help.

The restaurant was amazing, filled with nostalgia from a different era. The service and quality were both excellent. I highly recommend the chopsuey, as it has a great taste and aroma. It truly is an experience.

The chef must acknowledge that this restaurant serves one of the most authentic chili dishes I have ever had in all of Uttar Pradesh. If you truly enjoy authentic Oriental cuisine (Chinese cuisine is incorrect), then this is the place to go. The decor is not very impressive, although they are trying to uphold their reputation, I hope they improve. Honestly, I never expected to taste the original chicken chili recipe, reminiscent of ancient Oriental delicacies. It may be dry and lacking in capsicum, but it is incredibly tasty and tender.
