Village Tandoori - Maldon

I have always loved the food at this restaurant, but ever since the new owners took over, it seems that the quality has remained consistently amazing, possibly even better than before. The atmosphere is peaceful and inviting, and the new manager is extremely courteous and goes above and beyond for the customers. I am hopeful that the new owners will continue to excel and restore the restaurant to its former glory!

I went there last weekend it’s such a shame that there service gone down and very poor and rude the food was ok but took ages to come at our table. The old waiter keeps pushing for orders more and drinks and we hadn’t finished but they constantly asked have we done or not. We asked for water but got before just got off to the restaurant. The waiter were careless and didn’t bother. Never again

We ordered early on a Saturday evening delivery The delivery was made on time and the food was nice and hot We had madras curry, biryani and korma all chicken and all very tasty The onion Bhaji and samosa were good too with generous and fluffy nan breads

We moved to the village 5 years ago and initially had a disappointing experience at Village Tandoori. However, we decided to give it another try recently and were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, fresh, and still hot even when taken away. The portions were generous and reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning for more.

Always had great food here, but not been for a while until Saturday after a night out at the Kings Head Pub. I don't know whether they have a new chef or what, but the food was sublime, really delicious. I'm a Brummie, born and bred, so know a thing or two about curries, and the food we had last night was up there with the best. For starters we had sheek kebab, cooked to perfection and beautifully spiced, the tandoori chicken, which was equally delicious, but the Red Snapper was to die for. Delicate, spicy and fresh. Main course we had rice and naan, which the naans were amazing, with Chicken Tikka lebabanon and another curry my Wife had which I forget the name, But they were both piping hot and fantastic, all washed down with a very reasonable Pinotage Red wine. All in all, great service, superb food, no really superb food and price was also reasonable. We have to use our local amenities and support trade, as if we don't use them, we will lose them, and the Village Tandoori, is a must visit for curry lovers.
