Thai Orient Restaurant - Malaga

I was part of a family group of who went to Thai Orient in Exchange Rd Malaga in Perth WA, to celebrate our granddaughter's birthday. My wife and I had not been there before but it was so good that we will return...often. It is only a small restaurant, which means that it is not noisy or crowded, so we can have a good conversation without having to shout. The menu is quite large, so it took us a while to decide what to have. There are entrees and main meals, all of which are reasonably priced. There are soups, spring rolls, omelettes and many different ways of having chicken, beef, pork or prawns all served with fresh vegetables and rice. My wife and I shared vegetable rolls, garlic chicken and rice it was delicious and cost less than per head. This restaurant is BYO, so you don't have to pay the usual exorbitant prices for wine. What impressed us, apart from the great food, was the excellent service. Without any prompting, the host kept us supplied with jugs of cold water with a slice of lemon in it. He did not rush us into ordering our food and was able to take separate orders with separate bills for each couple or family group. He was very attentive, without hovering, and cleared plates when required, then came back with things like extra napkins, when requested. My daughter took a large birthday cake which the host graciously put in the fridge and brought out when required. After we sang Happy Birthday the host presented our granddaughter with a large box of chocolates, which was very generous of him. These small businesses that provide great food and great service deserve to have a regular, and expanding, clientele please go there!! Also, I believe that there main business is takeaway, so if you live in the area please give them your support.

Wow explained that I was after a seafood dish that didn’t contain cream tough ask at Thai restaurant) the gentleman suggested a sizzling seafood dish that was amazing a large helping of prawns, squid and mussels with fresh chilli,snow peas ,bamboo and garlic. Very...very happy we also had the Curry Puffs which were exceptional my only issue was he would not disclose the sauce contents lol

We had lunch at the Thai Orient after going to Ultimate Roomscape in Malaga it's very close by. We ordered three dishes Pad Thai, Red Curry, and Fried Rice all delicious and vegan. Good prices and quick service as well. Highly recommended!

Had lunch with a friend the other day. Green curry is fantastic! However the price is expensive relatively than other nearby restaurants. The gentleman is not that friendly as I'd expect. May go back there, but not in near future.

We had a group lunch with people, ordered mains and some rice, and all were fantastic. Every dish could be the specialty of the house. My personal favourites were the green chicken curry, as well as the fish and chilli sauce. Friendly service...as well. Recommended, if you are in the area.
