Gabi - Málaga

Visited El Palo for the afternoon and stumbled across this busy, vibrant, and animated restaurant so we decided to stay and have some lunch. We did make an unfortunate mistake when we ordered fish. We ordered a squid and a Dorada (from the beach BBQ) not realising that they were priced by weight. These 2 dishes were huge and cost almost €70. They were too big for even the biggest of appetites and were definitely meant to be shared. However, everything else was very enjoyable. We sat at a table underneath trees that provided welcome shade via its canopy of leaves BUT it was quite windy and “buds” from canopy were dropping on our food. I was unsure if they were edible and was a bit concerned that I may accidentally eat one without realising.

Great stop during a beach walk. Nice view, place is located right next to the beach. Nice sangria and sardines, tomato With garlic and courgette chips. Parrots on the trees above the place. Reccomended

No hay un lugar mas marinero en Málaga que la Barriada de El Palo, un barrio de pescadores a la orilla del mar, y que cuenta con numerosos restaurantes donde sirven pescado fresco recién cogido..del mar a la mesa. En el Restaurante Gabi podrás degustar los famosos espetos sardinas o pescado ensartados en cañas y puestos a la brasa). Los espetos de sardinas además de sabrosos y bien hechos, tienen uno de los precios más baratos de la costa, 2 euros, por lo que el Restaurante siempre está de bote en bote . El servicio es eficiente y amable y la calidad excelente..un lugar para disfrutar Del almuerzo o cena a la orilla del mar.

We have been on three occasions in two months and in experience was excellent the first time (in the restaurant); very good the second and good the third (on foot) we have been surprised by the evil as each of the rations of what we have asked (the aspects, the lemon and the pink bokes) every day with more or less quantity; I imagine they go to the weight and will depend on it. I don't think we're back.
