Casa Carlos - Málaga

Food is properly authentic. Decorations of interesting history of Malaga. The owner kept kitchen open during lockdowns to cook food parcels for local people who were house bound. She is a hero!

Absolutely delicious food freshly cooked, we had a mixture of fried fishes with salad and bread. The waitress kindly explained the menu to us as our Spanish is very limited! Very good for gluten free options and have gluten free bread and beer available. Made us amazing sangria! Friendly welcome would definitely come back.

We stayed at the Gran Hotel Miramar which is 2 minutes away from Casa Carlos. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast at the latter at a fraction of the cost of that offered by the hotel. We were welcomed very warmly at the cafe which was absolutely spotless and very pretty and whilst the range of food on offer was limited we would highly recommend a visit.
