Upcountry Farmers Market - Makawao

We came here after we accidentally found the farmer market on apple maps. we're here at 9 or 10 and it was packed. it was super hard to find a parking lot. hardly anyone wore masks and it was extremely crowded. we bought mango, sapote, avocado and lychee.

I was pleasantly surprised how many vegan options the prepared food providers had. a great place to support local farmers and craftsmen.

This market is a true dream come true! the thought of being in hawaii and eating out of this land is what hundreds of thousands calls here every year. the market is filled with all local providers who grow most on their own countries. it is to be noted, there are a few manufacturers who do not use organic ingredients or sell what I call sketchy foods so safe to ask many qualifying questions to meet their standards and check them according to the signs they are required to place this conditional weather they organic methods or not. in seriousness, here you can try the aromes of the rainbow.

Maui’s could not always keep vegan caffes, which is crazy because so many people live in maui love raw/vegan/healthy eating! the best place to meet large providers is on the upcountry farmer’s market where they adzuki bean tempeh, cultivated nuts cheese, sour wort, kvass, cultivated cocos water and creams, veggie begins, honey jun, the best of rare fruits and vegetables, freshly squeezed juices, Acai sluts make sure to arrive at 7 o'clock to get the best things! it is great for the whole family, there are clean baths, atm near long’s drugstore, and lots of space for children to walk next door in the football fields.

Was just here in December 2012. This is an early Saturday market, and vendors do start leaving early, so it is advised to come earlier. Many vendors sell fresh locally grown fruit and vegetable along with some crafts plus home-made foods like coconut kefir, baked goods, cooked food. A good market to check out if you happen to be in the area.
