All Kaina Grindz - Makawao

Tried the pork belly cheeseburger special recently and it was excellent. Definitely layers to the flavors but not in an overwhelming way. Can't wait to try other items on the menu.

Really nice lady owner. Definitely hoodie weather at dinner! We ordered the Waffle dog and shake and Pork Belly Moco Specials. I am more accustomed to a hearty, robust gravy on my Mocos. Liked that there was no fatty sections in the pork served. The Mac salad was as good as it gets. I'd recommend a wider straw with shakes.

The 5 spice pork plate is really yummy. I also like the Asian shrimp. You get more than enough to fill up. Mac salad is on point. I wish they had more chicken options! Oh and the Pastele stew is unreal.

Ordered take out. They had a kimchee burger on special and it was probably one of the best burgers I've ever had! Definitely check them out when you're in the area!

Stopped by after exploring Haleakala. I got the garlic shrimp plate and it was delicious. Very generous portions and the shrimp were nice and plump. Garlic sauce was so good. Husband had the loco moco and it's one of the best plates of food we've had on the island. The patty was very well seasoned and the gravy was awesome. Got a teri beef plate for the kids and they were kind enough to split them into two smaller portions. The mac salad was nice and light. It was nicely coated with mayo without being too rich. If we stayed closer I would seriously be here every day.
