We looked through the menu and decided to order the Chuckroll Kagoshima Beef (P1,270 for 100g). We chose to have the beef grilled. The beef was sliced and grilled on a hot stone slab along with onions, carrots, and okra. We wanted it well done and that was exactly what we got. Some chili powder and 3 kinds of salt was placed on our table — plum salt, lime salt, and pepper salt. They were for seasoning the beef. The wagyu beef was heavenly but really, it’s way too expensive at almost P1.3k for 100 grams. We each had a bowl of Angus Gyudon (P250). Whoa, now this is the best gyudon bowl I’ve tried in Metro Manila so far! The beef is really tender and subtly flavorful. You just want to keep eating. They even serve a bit of extra sauce on the side so you can dip the meat. Yum! If the wagyu beef is out of the budget, the complete meal in a bowl Angus Gyudon is nicely satisfying. We also ordered Inari Sushi (P120). Deliciously sticky Japanese sushi rice is wrapped with sweet beancurd skin. Delicious, plus the pieces are pretty big. All the diners were Japanese when we were there. I take it as a good indication of the restaurant’s authenticity. We loved everything we ate. It’s a bit cheaper if you go during lunch time. They have great deals on lunch sets. We went there for dinner so we couldn’t avail of the sets. Anyhow, I don’t think we’ll repeat P1.3k for 100g but we’ll definitely be back for the Angus Gyudon and the other interesting things in the menu… such as the P500+ bowl of Wagyu Curry.

For the best beef at reasonable (although still high!) prices, Wagyu Japanese Beef is a homely and unpretentious restaurant to go to. We started off with the Kani Salad Maki which was fresh and light. For our main, we had Omi Beef chuck roll cooked into sukiyaki right at our table in a portable stove. Beef was absolutely delightful, so soft on the palate.
Hole in the wall but very good wagyu beef. Had the Hida beef (ribeye) on the stone grilled. Medium rare melt in your mouth. Also, the sukiyaki angus beef is good and well priced. Have the beef with some garlic rice. Nice touch of complimentary Japanese apples at the end of your meal. Will I visit again? Yes.
Wagyu 4.5 Rest on the menu 2 I ordered quite a few on the menu the wagyu is really good, the girl knows how to grill a piece of wagyu right - just the right temperature and texture. it is fatty, flavorful, juicy and melt in your mouth the wagyu croquette is bad - basically all potato filling with a bit of minced meat here and there - doesn't really matter if it's wagyu any more there is a doburi on the wall, angus something. i dont like it as it is too sweet and not tendor enough
