Umu Japanese - Makati

I absolutely loved the view of the serene and stunning Japanese garden at this restaurant. They have multiple award-winning seating choices available. The Japanese cuisine here is simply delightful. It's the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or special celebration, as they offer private dining rooms. The dishes are refined and delicious. I started with shrimp tempura as my appetizer and followed with a sushi roll topped with unagi, mango, and cream cheese on cucumber. My family members enjoyed a salmon donburi shaped like a rose. For dessert, I opted for Coffee Jelly with chocolate ice cream since they had run out of vanilla. I now realize that I prefer coffee jelly with chocolate ice cream over vanilla. There are two Yelp listings for this restaurant, and I will be sharing my review on both. I want others to discover this amazing dining spot.

This restaurant is truly a 5-star dining experience! From the incredible food to the amazing sushi, every interaction here makes you feel special. While it may be more expensive than other local restaurants, it is definitely worth every penny. If you're looking for the best sushi experience you've ever had, this is the place to go. This wasn't my first visit and I know it won't be my last either.

I had a wonderful dinner with friends at Umu Japanese Restaurant located in Dusit Thani Hotel in the heart of Ayala Center, Makati City. The hostess was very friendly and the ambiance made us feel like we were in Japan. The restaurant had a beautiful garden view and various dining rooms, including Tatami Floor Style Rooms. The service was excellent and the food, especially the Salmon Sushi fillets, Chawanmushi, and beef fried rice, was delicious. The restroom even had a Toto Toilet, just like in Japan. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant, they deserve 5 stars. Cheers!

Umu Japanese restaurant is one of the restaurants located inside Dusit Makati. The interiors are designed as tradiotional Japanese rooms and the ealls are decorated with Japanese paintings. The food here is highly recommended since everything is of good quality. I specially liked the Japanese seafood fried rice and the Gindara Fillet. Their wafu steak as well as their yakisoba is very good as well!
