The Coffee Bean And Tea Leaf - Makati

Every CBTL I've been to is a comfort place. It's not too crowded unlike other resto that's why I enjoy staying here to do my work. I also love their sansrival cake and their chocolate cake. I just wish that they could restock the mango drink. Despite not having that, I still enjoy my pure double chocolate. I forgot to mention that their ensaymada is a bomb. Make sure to make the cheese toasted and it'll make the ensaymada better.

We ordered coffee and I had an unfortunate mishap tipping a large paper cup of cold coffee causing a not-so-tightly closed lid to dislodge spilling most of its content all over the table and my companion's lap. I asked for help and they were quick to assist and help us dry out the spilled coffee. Also the friendly barista replaced my unfortunate coffee for free. It's excellent service if I've ever seen one and I love the folks here for it. Attached is the picture of the aftermath on the spot that bore witness to all of it unfold.

A beautiful place for a coffee and snacks. The place gas great outdoor and indoor seating facing into garden. They have plenty to chose from great selection of coffees and cold drinks. Staff are friendly and set ice is good.

Long queueing time even though there were only two people ahead of me when I arrived (including the one already ordering). Asked for a cappuccino and tea; I was informed nothing from the tea menu was available. Disappointing. Got my coffee, felt like it was too hot. I waited 15 minutes for it to cool down enough to drink and by that point the foamed milk had collapsed. Coffee itself was pleasant enough, aside from the foam issue. Wasn't offered the choice of a mug cup for drinking in, so also wasteful. No sign on the packaging that they use biodegradable materials. Overall not a fan of the experience.

I recently learned that caffeine helps relieve headaches. I actually had a bit of a headache while walking along Greenbelt 5 and fortunately I went to Coffee Bean, got my usual Moroccan Mint Tea Latte and relaxed inside the spacious interiors for a few minutes. Headache went away after a while. Good thing CBTL was around.
