I've been meaning to try this resto for so long since I'm addicted to cheese, but always found a reason not to (mostly cause I'm too lazy to go out during lunch -- hello Manila heat ugh). I was quite disappointed cause I was looking forward to their boneless cheesy melt. The cheese was bland! Maybe because it's mozzarella? I don't know really but it wasn't what I was expecting. My friends tried their Yang Nyum chicken and they weren't happy with that as well. Plus their rice is at P40 per order! (sorry rice lovers) Their location/place is also something that I didn't like since it was open (in front of the escalator). I might still give this a shot since I want to try their cheese fondue. Crossing my fingers that it's a whole lot better than the cheesy melt.
Love their chicken cheese fondue for only 600+ for half serving. Good appetizer for 3-4. I love cheese. The only problem with Kko Kko is their service. It took 30 min for an appetizer.
I found myself alone in Makati a couple of Saturdays ago and because I was craving for a korean meal, I decided to browse Zomato and search for the nearest K-Resto. The app led me to Kko Kko, a famous korean chicken place in Ortigas which recently opened a branch in the second floor of Paseo Center. At around 12 PM, I decided to check the place out. Luckily, it wasn't crowded so I was able to order immediately. The place was really famous for its Chicken Cheese Fondue but sadly, it was good for two and serving time takes around 20 minutes. Due to this, I had to let go of this bestseller and I just tried their Yang Nyum + rice. That's fried chicken thigh coated with soy dressing (there was no chili available during my visit). For the taste, it was good! Better than Bonchon IMO. Serving size was huge too. In addition to this, I also got their jjampong because I wanted some soup. Order was good for 2 but I was able to finish everything (hahaha). It had noodles, shrimps, veggies, and clams. Very tasty for the affordable price. One suggestion-- eat the noodles quickly because it tends to get soggy easily.
