El Parador de los Suenos - Cafe Mistico

We ha lunch at El Parador los Suenos in maipu on a sunday, when all the wineries in Maipu are closed and the village is really quiet (at least in low season). We were really suprised bu the menu which contained all sorts of coffee specialties, cakes, small bites like tapas as well as homemade pizzas. The owner, Elena, is the devoted kook and uses different family recipes to spice up the local food . Its the perfect place for a light lunch or a cup of coffee with a nice cake. We had the pizzas en really enjoyed them, with their creamy soft cheese. After that we had the brownies with dulce lecce , a sweet molten sugar. Elena used to work at a winery in Maipu en knows a lot about the local wines. El Parador also sells wines from nearby bodegas at the same price as the wineries themselves. A good stop during your wine tour.

The owner is an alquimist of food allways combines various flavors and colors on the plate. Food for body and soul.

A great small place in Maipu the extremely beautiful Elena also works weekends in the fabulous Carinae cellar so sure white, one thing or two over good wine. All their teas are their own loose leaf confections and absolutely delicious, and the hearty snacks cakes are all made at home and extremely delicious. Had a wonderful hour or so spent time here. I wish I had the chance to go back and try the Empress!

I don't like to spoil your experience, but before you leave Maipu, you must definitely stop at this place, even if it is for a fast healthy bite, iced tea or a funny conversation with Elena. Go!

We had the best surprise at this visit to Mendoza when we met Elena and her Café El Parador de los Sueños. Elena is very friendly and a great person who had a conversation about quite everything; The café is very well located and a great place to relax from a full day of cycling in Maipu. It feels really good to stay in one of the outdoor tables, splash some of the wines (they chose very carefully their wine list, only wines produced with Maipu, including the very tiny wineries that you can only taste. And be ready to try some fantastic food! Your pizzas are so good! Deserts, fantastic. And in addition to all that it is a tea specialist and develops a delicious variety of mixtures.
