The restaurant has come a long way and has been operational for more than 110 years. Although historical its ambience is modern due to continues upgrading and refurbishments in course of time. Located in the heart of the Mainz suburb of Finthen it is well...known beyond the boundaries of the city Mainz. This is due to the fact that it’s family owned with Mrs. Stein managing the service and her husband responsible as the chef. The menu is both regional and international and varies partly with the seasons. The wine card is extensive and offers noble drinks from local, regional and international wineries. In addition, the quality of food and wine on offer is matched by the quality of service provided. Highly recommended for both, family and business invitations. The restaurant is open for lunch from 11:30 to 14:00 and for dinner from 18:00 onwards.
Were in town for a quick overnight while traveling The Atrium is excellent hotel and they recommended this place for eating that was walking distance to the hotel. The food was good, had the special of brats with onion ring/ French fries and cole slaw....The beer was excellent, the food was good. It was very pricey for the menu but a fun place to eat.
The food is overcooked ...overall not bad german food........the design of the restaurant also need a little refreshment
The food and the service are excellent at this restaurant. It's rather expensive but the good food is worth the money.
