We had the mezzenplatte for two that is not cheap, but also really beautiful. it is vegetarian, but can be made vegan easily. service and atmosphere are very good. clean, well dressed tables, good pleasant music and friendly and attentive staff.
The menu in damas does not look very vegan friendly: nothing is labeled vegan and there is no single main dish that has no meat. but the staff is very friendly and helpful and knows about veganism: they will gladly explain to them which dishes can be prepared vegan. in the main dishes the meat can be replaced by falafel. most mezze dishes are vegan by themselves, but make them safe before they order! the quality of eating is excellent, their falafels are great and their ful m’adamas is absolutely divine. I place this place absolutely again, but don't want to give 4 stars (which deserves the quality of eating) to a place that marks nothing but vegan.
Damas is an oriental restaurant. as a vegan they can choose from many “mezze” dressed, small dishes that they eat in the rule as appetizers, but also eat and share like tapas. there are falafel, fatoush (lebanese brot salat), tabouleh (Pasley-Bulgur salat), filled wein leaves, kartoffeln, flower cabbage, various pasty from auberginen or paprika, hummus. they also have suppen. everything I've tried so far was delicious and of good quality. it is an ideal place if you want to enjoy oriental eating in a real restaurant instead of in a fast food/take-away place and it is also ideal if you go with meat eating friends. vegan dishes are not marked, but the personal can help them.
I have travelled to Lebanon and eaten all over the country. Damas’ felt like I was back in a Lebanese restaurant. The Messa was delicious. The service was friendly. Shish Tawouk is my all time favorite dish, and this along with their Thoum was perfect
