Le BonBon - Mainz

I have never met someone so unfriendly. We were kot allowed to take our kids in, you shouted at us… i am not sure that this is the way to treat your guests.

Great find in flood of traditional middle of the road restaurants. Friendly staff. Fantastic grand table to also eat alone. Small interesting menu ensuring freshness, which the food was. Very lively atmosphere, all in all a very pleasant experience.

The people behind the bar really know what they are doing. Of course you pay for the quality here, but I would highly recommend this for a nice date night or to impress someone from out of town.

I have to say that we were a fairly large group, so this could have affected the speed of the service, but on the other hand, you would expect the restaurant to ensure that the appropriate attention was given. This did mean that ordering food was a bit slow for my liking. The food, I would say is good, but I got the feeling that the restaurant is trying to a little more up market than it is. Having said that, the steak was cooked as I like it rare with well cooked chips.

We were at the end of 2016 in le bon bon eating. the le bon bon bon stands out wonderfully from the usual restaurant chains in mainz and offers excellent coordinated dishes, the chef has learned his craft and knows how to implement it, especially fish dishes show as soon as the chef can cook or roast it on the spot and here my ordered fish was cooked on the spot. it is in the medium class, but also not in the so-called star gastronomy, but this is in the case of high-quality ingredients that are just fresh from the market and not from the deep-frozen chest also necessary and appropriate. also the service was excellent in the bypass with guests and knowledge of the card, ingredients and bar trained. I have rarely seen it in mainz. that the owners have long experience in the restaurant industry in mainz and can also use them constructiv, you can see from entering to leaving the restaurant.
