We come on a Sunday for a light lunch: pie and sauce followed by coffee and cake. It is cold and wet outside, but inside, the café is snug and warm – also bright and light. There is a good range of offerings and the service is friendly. Our pie and quiche come hot to the table with an artistic strip of sauce(!). The cakes are fresh and tasty, and the drinks to order. And the lass is happy for us to defer payment until we have finished our two courses. Finally, there is also the Seniors' discount!
This relatively new bakery is clean and airy. Coffee was good and hot, just the way I like it, and their selection of breads and pastries enough to satisfy the fussiest of customers.
A small variety of pies/cakes to chose from. Offer sandwiches made to order. The pastie and pie we ordered was nothing special if anything to much pastry and lack of flavour. Pie had more gravy then meat.
Stopped here late on a Saturday afternoon for a coffee and snack. The staff were friendly and attentive and service was quick. The coffee was very good.Unfortunately there was not much to choose from in the way of cakes, etc.I guess the upside was they were open - unlike some other cafes nearby.
I come here for a break from work, get served right away with no hassle,, then sit in silence with a pie or pasty. The odd loud mouth in an orange vest, but overall I'm very glad that this place is here
