Maharadscha-Palace Magdeburg

My friend and I stopped in late on a Thursday evening after having arrived late on the train to Magdeburg due to a thunderstorm. Being the only restaurant open in the area, I didn't have high expectation, however I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant itself was very cozy in demeanor, however due to being so late we only decided to have take out. After having a beer each we left home to sample the food and were, dare I say, more than happy. The food that we received was delicious, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. That being said, I would admit that a little more spice to the food would have been appreciated, however it was not something that came up during the conversation. While a little more spice would have made the food perfect, it was a happy surprise.

Food was a bit tasteless, should be more spicy. Is probably made for German tastes. Not recommended if you like real Indian food.

I visited this lovely restaurant tonight with my girlfriend, and we had a most wonderful dinner. The food (she had lamb, I had a mixed plate with lamb and two kinds of chicken) was perfectly cooked and the falvours keep lingering in your mouth. Very friendly service. Prices are apropriate for the portions. It´s not exactly cheap, with usually around 14Euro per dish, but still not too expensive. They also offer half price + 1 € (so if it is 14 € regularly, you then only pay 14/2 + 1 = 8 €) for every dish for their lunch table. I am sure to check this out in the near future.Atmosphere was very cozy, nice and clean tables. Overall condition of interior seems pretty new and in good condition, pleasant to the eye.

Good quality food and with friendly staff available. Meanwhile clean and tidy restaurant. Paneer is my favourite in this restaurant.
