As a solo traveler I can appreciate a solo fixed price menu that is inexpensive and delicious. Located in an African, Spanish, Eastern Indian and Turkish area...not to mention a very young and counter culture clientele, this restaurant was great. I had three options and included a drink. I recommend for good food and people watching.
Me and my wife tried lentils soup, chicken saag and lamb curry all were perfect if not even better! Good prices also. Excelente!
One of several Indian options in Lavapies neighborhood. They have no problems with English in contrast to many venues around. Illustrated and clear menu. Tandoori king prawns (photo) were excellent. Closed after 11 pm.
My husband and I had dinner at Safran while visiting Madrid. The quality of the food was excellent, the spinach and cauliflower were perfectly prepared and spiced. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, assuring us we would be pleased with our choice of meals, which were definitely were. We sat outside enjoying the constant flow of interesting people pass by--it couldn't have been a more pleasant meal or evening.
