La Tragantua - Madrid

A small, cozy restaurant at the corner of the street. The staff are very warm and courteous. Had an amazing lunch with Torreznos, carilleras de cerdo and pollo a la vietnamita. All of them were super tasty and the proportions were big too. Will definitely go back!

A very small, rustic-styled restaurant with the kindest owner who tends to all your needs. I dined alone and decided to eat purely based on his suggestions (he loved that I did that! and got the artichokes for starters, clams for main, and orange brownie for dessert. Everything was fabulous--loved every bit of it. Hope to be back soon!

In our country we had an opportunity to try food in restaurants with those popular stars ..; but You know, lunch at La Malontina was something way way better ! A true experience, starting with an amazing owner and chief (and as You can just feel it, a good person, so humble! , trough an amazing meal , like You know that You want to come back reading menu , an ending with a nice feeling of full stomach and not that high bill def we will be back ! Thank You for having us !

Everything about this little restaurant is absolutely to die for, I can’t recommend this place enough! We got a bottle of Tempranillo, the slow cooked beef ribs (which I believe was a special that day) and the duck lasagna. I would eat here every day if I could. Reasonable prices as well!

This was our first dinner in Madrid, and it was incredible! We’d made reservations for 20:30 (late for Americans but early for Spaniards), and the chef himself came out to describe all of the night’s specials to us. We ended up ordering all 4 specials: 2 starters and 2 entrees. The starters especially (one with clams and the second with mussels) were fantastic. My husband really enjoyed the ribs for his entree. Highly recommend!
