La Taberna De Dominguez - Madrid

My twin brother Stephen and I were exploring around this area of the city when we decided to drop into La Taberna De Dominguez, been here before on previous holidays to Madrid, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. I love the look of this tavern, interior is so traditional, exposed brickwork, a cool looking serving bar, eclectic decor and furnishings, great tiled features and housed in a wonderful looking building, its got lots of seating and outside seating, its just a great tavern to unwind in. We sat outside as temperatures were hitting 100 degrees Fahrenheit plus, we ordered a coca cola each, served freezing cold, we chilled out and soaked up the sun while we sipped our cola's. Nothing better than a cold ,fizzy drink to wake up the tastebuds and nothing better than being in such a really good tavern just relaxing and planning out the day ahead. We really enjoyed our cola's sat outside here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. La Taberna De Dominguez is easy to locate along Calle Alvarado. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from 7am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

We were recommended this restaurant by our Hostal nearby. We were not disappointed!! It is family run and fully tiled in traditional Spanish style and it reminded me of restaurants we have visited in Andalucía. The food and hospitality were excellent. We enjoyed the tapas and the roast chicken. In the evening when we went there for drinks we got food with each course, and not just the usual olives or crisps, but very good tapas. It is only 4 stops from Gran Via on the metro and well worth a visit

Excelente local para comer mesa y menú. lugar muy limpio con buena comida. el personal es muy atento, experto y amable. buena tapa con cada cosumicion, vale la pena parar y tomar algo.

Muy acogedor, excelente sitio donde tomarte una cervecita con las típicas tapas madrileñas. También buen sitio para comer, cocina decente y a buen precio, con personal muy atento en las ocasiones que me he estado. Si huyes de los sitios modernos donde a veces tienes sorpresas no recomendables, en ésta taberna- restaurante con decoración más tradicional no te sentirás para nada decepcionado, dentro de un ambiente típico del sector por donde se callejea.
