Sporty's Grill - Madison

We came here on our bicycle tour of South Dakota. We had ridden 43 miles on a hot day, and we were ready for pub food and beer! We would have been easy to please, we were so hungry and thirsty! While the fries were good really, really delicious, actually! , everything else was unsatisfactory or, at best, okay. My burger was fine, but the waitress didn 't ask me how I wanted it cooked, and it was well done. The beer was good they have Guinness on tap , but my friends ' food was not acceptable. One of my friends does not eat mammals, so she ordered the fish and chips, which turned out to be an order of the delicious French fries and tiny fried fish pieces that looked like chicken strips, overdone, unappetizing chicken strips. She described them, I believe, as lame. My other friend ordered Buffalo wings, but had to make a special request for dipping sauce and celery and was told she didn 't order the menu item that included those. ? We had to wait a long time for our food, to order our drinks and order second beers. I knew they were busy, but they must often be busy, and our waitress seemed overwhelmed. She was very friendly and good to us, but we thought she was trying to juggle too many tables to attend to everyone adequately. I probably won 't return to this pub.

Can't beat Sportys bar and grill. Great wings and specials on Wednesday nights for them. Also great phillys and chicken Parmesan sandwiches. Quick service, friendly staff, cold drinks, will definitely come back!

Food was nothing special, and the staff was rude, and the location is poor.

For what Madison has to offer, the sportsman is excellent. we had great service as visitors to Madison, and the food was fantastic. we had the ribey special which was cooked to perfection and fresh blt with salad bar.

I strongly disagree with the two previous reviewers. We have found both the food and service to be of the highest quality. The steaks are the best that is available and the trout is fantastic. Fries and burgers are terrific. The bartenders are friendly and competent. The place is everything that you are looking for, guaranteed.
